a meme?

now this is interesting! hehe a meme..what does that mean
but anywho 5 things about me that i haven't written in this blog..
(and sorry to be a party pooper...won't be tagging anyone b/c all my peeps are on xanga actually..i know poopy huh?)

1) for school i go to california college of arts in oakland(fine arts) and sf (design). i used to go to UC Berkeley, but being a person that needs a community, I decided to take a year off my sophomore year to find myself, recupperate from school, live the way I want, and finally have the confidence to work retail.

2)knitting wise i am scared to death of double point needles, though I have a bunch looking at me. it's a scary thought, and I don't know anyone who knits as much as me in real life, actually. I learned from a book in middle school, inspired from my godmother and a craft club in middle school.

3)culturally i am taiwanese-american. though really my heart is set somewhere else where the world is more carefree, where there are less rules, where I feel safe.

4)secertly i have been in love with the same person for a long time but no one has an idea who he is and i'm not about to tell anyone at all. close friends might have a clue. it's a heartache to think about it and actually now i'm trying to distance myself from him, take a real breather, move on. it's time.

5)sadly i am allergic to all meats, seafood, eggs, chocolate, nuts, and maybe even soymilk because now it causes tummyache. didn't used to be like this, developed over the year. I live in fear of most foods.

hahh I know it's 5, but the last thing is

6) I love dishes, I used to work at crate and barrel, so I love dishes, mugs, and ugh i'm such a collector. I'm only 20 but I have like at least 30 mugs and cup with saucers...and now I love spode dishes (which are these made in england, blue and white, from copperplate engraving, plates)...what is wrong with me.

on a whim

there's actually a sale for the tahki donegal tweed (10 skeins for 50 dollars?) grab bag on webs, and i thought i'd give it a try! b/c i actually want a green central park hoodie?

i know it's crazy but i take public transport everyday and i need something to keep my head up.

so here's the projects up and coming:

1. "hear no evil" beanie in knitscene fall 2006 for eric(already casted on)
2. a double knitting scarf from knitty.com (one with squares and such..they have it in yellow and black, i'm doing pale grey and pale gold)
3. another central park hoodie for me!

after all i am taking a fashion design class this semester ;)

one month, almost exactly (i started knitting right when my finals were over..and i'm supposed to go bak to school tomorrow...supposed to.. alas i do not have classes on tuesday! )

well i'm on the first side of band and edge for the sweater. to finish sometime soon.

i'm really really sick. i've been sick since tuesday with sore throat, ear infection, drippy nose, plugged nose, fever, etc. and now it's saturday. that's so many lost free days!!

i was supposed to visit gail, i was supposed to meet up with all the peeps. ugh. but now i just don't wanna see anyone. well i'll see gail, but that's cuz she's too cool to pass up.

yah.

man. it was a freaken week ago?! i went SNOWBOARDING. with friend eric and ap...and then eric's friend's friends and yahh. and these peoples. i thought it would be kinda weird cuz people would already know each other and might be very clique-ish. but it wasn't !!! i met funny people!!!! and i love funny people!!

it's been a busy few days. had to say good bye to crate and barrel outlet...ugh it breaks my heart b/c it was so much fun working there :(

i miss some people but i know they've got their lives set up and i haven't got the charm or means to reapply as a friend into their lives. so for the new year, i wish those that i have lost touch with..who won't even see this post perhaps...i wish you the very best.

i often feel sad in such situations, but then you remember that at least you've got those memories, at least you've spent a bitty of a time with that person. and well, that's enough isn't it? i'll count it lucky.

two days gone by. fish died. hung out with good friends bethany, manny, and marcos. we wanted to go ice skating in sf but then the line was too long! so we were going to go to yueba buena gardens...but that clases at 9pm boo! so then we went back to berkeley and watched "the fountain" (interesting artsy mvie i might add, alot of really beautiful shots..not for the easily bored by images peeps tho)...

so i knitted on bart and waiting for bart..got some done ugh

not enough.

so i've been sick. and so i thought i might as well start this(and revive this blog!)

the cable-ing is fun actually! i thought i would be sick of it but oh nah
even my bro likes it, heh!

these are some chucks i found at ross (yay! my size!) and a shirt i got yesterday at the thrift (which i never pronounce right). this shirt will be my painting shirt for class! it is way too big...yes!!!! goes nice with the shoes...

i also went to the berkeley street fair on telegraph where they have all kinds of awesome odd gifts and the turtle is below..... exciting. also met up with jane and peeps from cal who i miss. but yes. love my new school!!
